About the Client

Allenwood Elementary School is a public school located in Monmouth County’s Wall, NJ. The school has a population of 409 staff and students and serves kindergarten through 5th grade.Allenwood is part of the Wall Township School District and is located offLakewood-Allenwood Rd.

The Challenge

The auditorium at Allenwood Elementary wasoutdated and complicated for the staff to use. The sound system was unclear, unreliable,and not easy to use,whichin turn wouldconsistentlybe a distraction for the students and staff during importantassemblies.

Allenwood Elementary asked CSAV Systems to provide an upgraded sound system for their gymnasium that would be user-friendly and of top quality.

The Solution

Our team of engineers, technicians and audiovisual consultants were excited to get started on this project. Knowing that this system would be enjoyed by many and used for learning, our team was dedicated to providing a seamless AV system. CSAV Systems provided a custom designed sound system for the auditorium.The priority for the project was to ensure clear audio. The solutions included: speakers, a stage monitor, amplifiers, an iPad, digital mixer, CLR input plates, and an equipment rack.

Speakers/Amplifier- Column speakers were integrated at the stage for evenly distributed audio throughout the vicinity. The amplifier was integrated for optimized sound profiling.

Stage Monitor- A movable stage monitor offers adaptability, better sound management, and improved performance quality in an auditorium setting

Digital Mixer- A digital mixer takes the live audio received from microphones and converts it to a digital signal, resulting in a cleaner sound.

DSP (digital signal processor) – A Digital Signal Processor (DSP) is a specialized microprocessor designed to process digital signals in real time. In the context of a sound system, a DSP is used to enhance and manipulate audio signals to achieve better sound quality, clarity, and performance.

A DSP allows precise control over audio tuning, making it a vital component in professional sound systems.

iPad- Using an iPad for wireless mixing and controlling microphones ensure ease of use for the staff. Authorized users can adjust microphone volumes and overall volumes as needed to optimize the sound output.

We included a new wall mounted equipment rack to house all of the equipment to keep it organized and accessible for servicing.

The new system empowered Allenwood’s staff to control the sound with complete confidence and ease, delivering exceptional audio quality. Crystal-clear sound ensured that every audience member, no matter where they were seated, could hear speakers with perfect clarity. This upgrade enhanced audience engagement, allowing them to fully connect with every presentation and event.
