CSAV Attends Infocomm 2025

This past June, dedicated team members from CSAV Systems traveled to Orlando, Florida, for the highly anticipated InfoComm 2025. This weeklong conference was a phenomenal experience, bringing together over 30,000 attendees-of those including 250 speakers and more than 800 exhibitors. In today’s rapidly evolving world, staying ahead of technological advancements is essential, especially within the audiovisual
industry. At CSAV Systems, our commitment to excellence drives us to explore innovative solutions that best serve our clients.

InfoComm, North America’s largest professional audiovisual trade show, brings together manufacturers, integrators, dealers, and end-users from around the globe. Featuring thousands of products spanning audio, conferencing and collaboration, display, video,
streaming, control, digital signage, and more, the event is truly an engaging and immersive experience showcasing the future of AV.

Each year, CSAV looks forward to attending InfoComm as it offers live demonstrations of groundbreaking products, insights from industry-leading experts, and targeted educational sessions that expand both technical knowledge and strategic perspective. Beyond technology, InfoComm fosters meaningful networking opportunities, enabling all attendees to build relationships that support career growth and business development. Let’s take a look at what Lucas, a CSAV Vice President and Engineer, says about his experience.

Q & A with Lucas

Q- 1. What were your biggest takeaways from InfoComm 2025? How did this year feel compared with last year?

A- This year felt like real progress. Compared to 2024, which was mostly incremental updates, 2025 brought meaningful product launches and more focused solutions. Manufacturers seemed more aligned with the actual needs of integrators and end users. There was a clear focus on refining and simplifying system design, which is exactly where the industry needs to be heading.

Q- 2. Which emerging trends caught your eye this year?

A- Microsoft Teams Rooms clearly had the strongest presence across the floor. Nearly every major manufacturer had some form of Teams-certified setup, and the ecosystem around it is growing fast. Another thing we’re watching closely is the continued rise of all-in-one conferencing displays. These are systems that combine a display, integrated speaker, microphone array, and camera—cleaning up the room design and minimizing external hardware. Some of the new models claim mic pickup ranges approaching 40 feet, which is pushing the boundary for single-unit performance. It’s not the right fit for every room, but it’s a category that’s evolving fast and offering real value.

Q- 3. Which innovations do you think will reshape AV in the next few years?

A- We’re keeping a close eye on a few things. First, LED continues to come down in cost and complexity. All-in-one, fine-pitch LED walls are becoming a practical alternative to stacked LCDs, even in mid-size spaces. Second, IPMX continues to develop. It’s not widely adopted yet, but once the standard is finalized and fully supported, it has the potential to simplify system design by running video, audio, and control over a unified network infrastructure. And finally, we’re seeing real progress in automated camera systems and remote monitoring platforms.
They’re not fully dialed in yet, but the improvements are noticeable—and it’s clear both will play a bigger role in AV system design moving forward.

Q- 4. If you could walk off the floor with one piece of gear, what would it be—and why?

A- I’d take the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 from Blackmagic. It builds on their established switcher platform with stronger hardware, better physical controls, and ISO recording across all eight inputs. It’s a great option for organizations that need professional-level switching for broadcast or streaming but want to keep the footprint small—ideal for houses of worship or in-house studio environments. Another standout was RF Venue’s new two-channel wireless audio transmitter—it’s a clean way to move program audio between zones without
running cable, perfect for mobile or reconfigurable spaces. And Sennheiser’s new Spectera platform is worth mentioning—it consolidates more wireless channels into less rack space, which is a big help in large venue environments where efficiency and scalability matter.
